As part of the educational program, Lori Bitter will be instructing session attendees on how to reach the new continuing care retirement community (CCRC) consumer. Attendees will learn how values–based consumer segmentation can help drive an organization’s marketing strategy, and to understand the trends and differences in consumer sentiment towards CCRCs in a changing marketplace. Lori will help attendees discover a message framework needed to engage the new consumer and increase their prospect base.


  1. Continuing care has a limited future, no matter what message is floated out to baby boomers. Remember, our generation was the first to have the sad experience of caring for or worrying about parents in decline for many years. Most of us see these facilities in a negative light and would not choose to enter one. Contrary to the boom your clients are preparing for, I see peers steering clear and seeking new ways to deal with the problems of aging.
